Diana aids the war effort as long as she is on the Normandy. Once onboard, she takes up residence in the starboard cargo bay. Shepard may choose whether to allow her to join the crew. If Shepard has demonstrated violent tendencies towards other reporters in the past, Allers is well aware of the Commander's track record, claiming that such antics haven't exactly endeared the Commander to the galactic audience however, she makes the case that this can change with her help. If spoken to, she asks for permission to serve as embedded journalist onboard the Normandy.
